The Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC, is now conducting telemedicine appointments for established and new patients. Here is everything you need to know about telemedicine appointments.

SCHEDULING YOUR TELEMEDICINE APPOINTMENT

First, to schedule a telemedicine appointment, you must call the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC. Please call: 304-598-3888.

Appointments that work exceptionally well with telemedicine are:

Patients must have a current email address and phone number on file to participate in telemedicine and access to either an iPhone, Android or through your patient portal on your computer.

When you call to schedule your appointment, we can ensure that your information is updated properly in our system.

CONNECTING WITH OUR DERMATOLOGISTS FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Once you are scheduled for a telemedicine appointment, we will send you an email explaining how to connect with us for your appointment. We will provide you with the URL information and your username in the email. You will use the same password that you use for the patient portal. Click on the link in the email from the device you will be using. This will open the Patient Pocket app onto your mobile phone for you to download. If you are using your computer, you will be instructed to log onto your portal.

If you are using your patient portal, you will find the visit link under the “Appointments” tab, and you’ll see a button to “Join” when the provider is ready to connect with you.

If you are using the Patient Pocket app, you will log in with the URL and username provided in the email and your portal password. When the provider is ready to connect with you, then click on the button to “Join.”

BILLING FOR TELEMEDICINE APPOINTMENTS

Telemedicine appointments will be billed to your insurance like a regular office appointment and self-pay visits payments will be collected at the time of scheduling. Your co-pay will be collected, prior to your visit, over the phone by our staff.
